About the day

Johnna and Sam got married at the Chicago History Museum, and the whole day had a bit of luck on its side. The ceremony was outdoors, and the rain that had been threatening all morning just… held off, the kind of thing you don't plan for but are grateful for when it happens. Before that we grabbed a photo stop at North Avenue Beach, which gave us that epic skyline behind them, the whole city stacked up on the horizon. Back at the museum the day opened up from there, big architecture, good light, and a room full of people who were clearly happy to be there.
