About the day

Olivia and Luke got married across some of the best rooms in Chicago. They got ready at the Pendry, tucked inside the old Carbide & Carbon building on Michigan Avenue, and the morning was calm and easy. On the way over we stopped at the Art Institute for a few frames, all that stone and scale, the two of them small against the city. Then the Chicago Cultural Center for the ceremony and reception, which is honestly hard to overstate: marble staircases, the Tiffany glass dome, a room that does half the work for you. What a perfect day!
